páme

Privacy Policy

Effective 30 October 2026

This policy explains what the Páme app (“Páme”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to the Páme app on iPhone and Android and to this website, pame.fit.

The short version: Páme reads your activity from Apple Health or Health Connect so you can see it and share daily step totals with the squads you join. We never sell your health data and never use it for advertising. The app shows ads, and the ad network may use your device’s advertising ID, which you can reset or limit at any time.

1. What we collect

Account information

You can use Páme without an account. Squads need one, and you sign in with Apple or Google. From the sign-in provider we receive a user ID, your email address (with Sign in with Apple, this may be a private relay address) and, if you allow it, your name. We store a display name, an optional profile picture link and your time zone so squads show the right day.

Health and fitness data

With your permission, Páme reads these types from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iPhone or Health Connect on Android:

Páme only reads this data. It never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect. Most of it is shown to you on your phone and is not uploaded. If you are signed in, Páme uploads your daily step total for each day (one number per day, with whether it came from Apple Health or Health Connect) so your squads can see it on the leaderboard. We do not upload minute-by-minute data, locations or routes.

Squad information

When you create or join a squad we store the squad’s name, invite code, goal and round settings, who is in it, and round results. Other members of a squad see your display name, profile picture and daily step totals for that squad.

Advertising and device information

Páme shows ads to keep the app free. Our advertising partner may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, Advertising ID on Android), your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device type and how you interact with ads, to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud. On iPhone we only access the IDFA if you allow tracking when asked. Without it, you still see ads, but they are not personalised by tracking across other companies’ apps.

Diagnostics

We may collect crash reports and basic technical data (app version, operating system, error details) to fix bugs. These do not include your health data.

2. How we use it

Health data is used only to provide Páme’s fitness features. We do not use it for advertising, marketing or profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Our use of data from Health Connect follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and our use of HealthKit data follows Apple’s HealthKit rules.

Google’s use of data in AdMob is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account, squad and step data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days. Advertising partners keep data under their own policies.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or state laws in the US such as the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Our legal bases are performing our agreement with you (running the app), your consent (health data and, where required, ads) and our legitimate interests (security and improvement). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with access controls so that only you and the members of your squads can see your squad data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Páme is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
